How healthcare search works in Texas
Texas is several large markets, not one. A search for an orthopedic surgeon in Houston meets different competitors, prices and patient habits than the same search in Lubbock. Campaigns have to account for the following.
Distance
Metro areas sprawl. A clinic in Plano will not win patients from Fort Worth, however the ad reads. We set a radius for each location and exclude areas on the wrong side of a long drive.
Large competitors
Hospital systems and urgent care chains bid on broad terms across every metro. A smaller practice gets better value from specific treatment keywords in its own suburbs than from fighting for "doctor near me" citywide.
Two languages
A large share of searches in South and Central Texas are made in Spanish. These keywords often have less competition, but only pay off when the ad, the page and the phone call are in Spanish too.
Google's healthcare policies
Some treatments cannot be advertised, a few categories need certification, and audiences based on health conditions are not allowed. Ads are written and targeted with those limits in view from the start.
Our Google Ads services for clinics
Management covers the full account, from the first keyword list to the monthly numbers.
Account build or rebuild
We organize the account by location, then by service line, so that budget and results can be read clinic by clinic. Where an existing account has useful history we restructure it instead of starting again, and we keep it under your ownership.
Treatment and condition keywords
Treatment searches name what the person wants, such as a procedure or a type of doctor. Condition searches describe a problem. We bid more on the first group, write different ads for the second, and use exact and phrase match to keep both under control.
Near me and map visibility
We link your Google Business Profile to the account so ads can show your address, distance and a call button, including in Google Maps. For urgent care and walk-in clinics, these searches made from a phone are usually the most valuable in the account.
Ads that pass review
Ads state what you treat, who the providers are, which insurance plans you take and how soon a patient can be seen. We follow Google's healthcare policy and Texas Medical Board advertising rules: no outcome promises, no superlatives, and credentials stated accurately.
Call tracking
Tracking numbers show which campaign and keyword produced each call. We count calls over a set length as conversions and review a sample with your office manager to confirm they were new-patient inquiries. Tracking is set up with HIPAA in mind.
Weekly search term review
Every week we read what people actually typed before clicking. Searches for jobs, Medicaid questions you cannot help with, other cities and services you do not offer are blocked. Good new terms are added as keywords with their own ads.

Texas practices we manage ads for
We work with practices that want more new-patient calls for specific services.
- Urgent care and walk-in clinics
- Orthopedic and spine practices
- Plastic surgeons and medical spas
- Physical therapy and rehabilitation clinics
- Multi-specialty groups across several Texas cities
A frequent problem in Texas accounts is one campaign targeting the whole metro, or the whole state, with a single phone number. Nobody can tell which clinic the calls belong to. We give each location its own campaign, budget and tracking number, so every dollar can be traced.
What the first 90 days look like
The audit and tracking come first. Search campaigns for your main services launch within the first month.
Week 1
Free audit
We examine the current account, or your market if you have none, and check each service against Google's healthcare policy.
Week 2
Strategy
We agree priority services, target areas for each clinic, languages and a monthly budget.
Weeks 2 to 4
Build and tracking
Campaigns, ad copy, negative lists and tracking numbers are set up. Landing pages are built or adjusted, and test calls are placed.
Month 2
Launch and cleanup
Ads run on the highest-intent keywords. We review search terms twice a week and confirm call quality with your front desk.
Month 3
Expand
Proven keywords get more budget. Spanish campaigns, extra services or additional locations are added as results allow.
Every month
Monthly report
A plain summary of spend, calls, form requests and cost per inquiry for every location, with our recommendations.
What Google Ads management costs
We do not publish set packages for healthcare accounts. You receive a quote after the free audit, based on the number of locations, service lines and languages. What you spend on clicks is paid to Google and is separate from our management fee.
Work is month to month and either side can end it with 30 days' notice.

About GrowLimoTexas cities we run ads in
We are based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and work with Texas practices remotely. Each city below needs its own approach.
Houston
The Texas Medical Center makes this one of the most competitive healthcare search markets in the state. Suburban clinics in Katy, Pearland and The Woodlands do well by advertising close to home.
Dallas and Fort Worth
The two sides of the metro behave like separate cities. We run distinct campaigns for Dallas, Fort Worth and northern suburbs such as Frisco and McKinney.
Austin
Searchers compare several providers and expect online booking. Ads that link straight to a scheduling page tend to convert well here.
San Antonio and El Paso
Spanish-language search is significant, and click costs are often below those in Dallas or Houston. Military families near the bases are a steady source of new-patient searches.
Questions about healthcare Google Ads in Texas
How quickly do Google Ads work for a medical practice?
Calls can start in the first few days after launch. The early weeks are spent removing irrelevant searches and finding which keywords lead to real appointments. A Texas healthcare account normally settles within 60 to 90 days, and from then on changes are smaller and steadier.
How much does Google Ads management cost for Texas healthcare practices?
We quote after the free audit, since the fee depends on how many locations, specialties and languages the account covers. Ad spend is separate and is charged by Google to your own card. The audit report includes a suggested monthly budget for each city you want to advertise in.
Are we locked into a contract?
No. Our agreements are month to month, with 30 days' notice to end. We advise a first period of about 90 days so the campaigns can be judged fairly, and you keep the account and its data if you leave.
Do you have an office in Texas?
No. We are based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, next door to Texas, and work with practices there by video call, phone and shared reports. Campaigns are targeted to your own service areas.
Do we need certification to advertise on Google?
Most clinics do not. Google requires certification for a small number of healthcare categories, such as addiction treatment services and online pharmacies, and bans ads for some treatments entirely. We check your service list against the current policy during the audit and tell you plainly if something cannot be advertised.
Can we run Google Ads in Spanish?
Yes. We build separate Spanish campaigns with their own keywords, ads and landing pages, since direct translation of English keywords misses how people actually search. This is most useful in San Antonio, Houston, El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley. Your office needs Spanish-speaking staff to take those calls.
Why can't our ads follow visitors around the web?
Google does not allow advertisers to build remarketing audiences around health conditions or treatments, and healthcare sites are often limited in personalized advertising generally. That protects patients. We focus budget on search, where the person has told Google what they need, and use call and location assets to make each ad more useful.
How do we know which calls came from ads?
Each campaign uses tracking numbers that forward to your front desk. You can see call volume, length and the keyword behind each call in a shared dashboard. The call tracking provider signs a business associate agreement, and the setup is done with HIPAA in mind, so no health details go to Google.
