How we measure clinic results

We do not have an urgent care case study yet, so here are two California clinics instead. Both are Google Ads accounts, not SEO, measured over the same 90 days. They show how we report: patient leads and cost per lead, not clicks.

How patients choose an urgent care

An urgent care visit is decided in minutes. Someone searches 'urgent care near me', 'urgent care open now' or a symptom and a neighborhood, and picks from the three clinics in the map results. Hours, distance and recent reviews decide it, so that is where urgent care SEO starts.

Texas is crowded. Definitive Healthcare counted 316 active urgent care centers in Dallas-Fort Worth and 275 in Houston in September 2026, out of more than 11,000 nationwide. In those metros you compete with hospital-owned chains and freestanding emergency rooms on the same road.

Reviews carry more weight every year. In BrightLocal's 2026 survey of 1,002 US consumers, 74% looked for reviews written in the last three months, and 31% would only use a business rated 4.5 stars or higher.

  • The map results come first

Each clinic needs its own complete Business Profile: the right categories, current hours, services, accepted insurance and real photos.

  • Pages for what you treat

Patients search for X-rays, stitches, flu tests and sports physicals, so each service your clinics offer gets its own page.

  • Hours that are always right

Holiday and late hours must match on your site, Google and the directories, or patients drive to a closed door.

  • Counted as visits

We report calls, online check-ins and direction requests for each location, not rankings alone.

What urgent care SEO includes

Six parts make up every plan. The audit decides which comes first for your clinics.

  1. Google Business Profiles

We set up or clean up one profile per location: primary and secondary categories, services, hours, holiday hours, accepted insurance and photos of the entrance, parking and waiting room. Posts go out every week, and we answer the questions patients ask on the profile.

  2. Condition and service pages

One page for each service you offer, written in the words patients use: urgent care for cuts and stitches, X-rays on site, flu and strep tests, school and sports physicals, DOT exams and occupational medicine. Each page says which of your clinics offer it and links to online check-in.

  3. Location pages that differ

A location page needs more than the city's name. Ours carry the address, parking, cross streets, hours, services available at that site and the providers on staff, so Google sees a real clinic and the patient knows where to go.

  4. Reviews and replies

We set up a text or email review request that goes out after the visit, with no clinical details in it. Replies are written within days, never mention a condition or treatment, and follow the privacy rules your clinic already works under.

  5. Technical SEO and speed

Most urgent care searches happen on a phone, often in a hurry. We fix load speed, broken links and duplicate pages, mark up each location with structured data and make the check-in button work on the first tap.

  6. Tracking without patient data

We count calls per location with tracking numbers that keep your listings consistent, and log check-in and direction clicks in Google Analytics. Nothing that identifies a patient or a condition is sent to Google or Meta, in line with HHS guidance on online tracking.

Not sure which of these you need first?

The free audit shows where you stand and what to fix first. You keep the written plan either way.

Who this is for

Urgent care operators in Texas who want more walk-ins and check-ins from search, without paying for every click.

  • Independent single-site urgent care centers
  • Groups with several clinics in one metro
  • Urgent care with occupational medicine
  • Pediatric urgent care
  • Operators opening a new Texas location

The most common mistake we see is one location page per clinic with only the city name changed. Google treats them as duplicates, and patients learn nothing about parking, hours or services at that site.

Your first 90 days

The order is the same for every clinic group. The audit sets the scope.

  1. Week 1

    Free audit

Profiles, rankings near each clinic, site speed and the competitors who show above you. You keep the written plan.

  2. Weeks 2 to 3

    Profiles and tracking

Every Business Profile corrected, call tracking and check-in events set up, so the baseline is measured before anything changes.

  3. Weeks 3 to 8

    Service and location pages

The pages patients search for most go live first, then the rest, each linked from the right location pages.

  4. Months 2 to 3

    Reviews and citations

Review requests start, and your clinics are listed consistently in Texas and healthcare directories.

  5. Every month

    Report

Calls, check-ins and direction requests by location, the searches that brought them and what we do next.

What urgent care SEO costs

One clinic starts at $797 a month, the same price as our Texas SEO plans. Groups are quoted after the audit, because twelve clinics across two metros need far more pages, profiles and review work than one.

Agreements run month to month with 30 days' notice. You own the pages, profiles and tracking numbers we set up.

Urgent care SEO questions

How long does urgent care SEO take to work?

Profile fixes and corrected hours often show in the map results within weeks. New service and location pages usually take three to six months to rank well, and longer in Dallas or Houston than in a smaller city.

How much does urgent care SEO cost?

A single clinic starts at $797 a month. Groups are quoted after the free audit, based on the number of clinics and metros.

See pricing

Is there a long contract?

No. Agreements run month to month with 30 days' notice, and you keep everything we build.

Do you have an office in Texas?

No. We are based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and work with Texas clinics remotely by video call and shared reports.

Can you handle many locations at once?

Yes. Each clinic gets its own Business Profile, location page and tracking number, and the monthly report shows results for each location side by side.

Is review management safe under HIPAA?

Our review requests and replies never mention a condition, treatment or visit detail. We follow the privacy rules your clinic already works under and keep patient data out of analytics.

Should urgent care use SEO or Google Ads?

Most groups need both. Ads put a new clinic in front of patients on day one; SEO builds the map and organic visits that cost nothing per click. The audit shows which to fund first.
